Mine planning and 3D modeling are the basis of any important decision-making in a mining operation. Detailed scheduling and a good visualization of the overall mine design helps engineers put a plan of action to successfully extract minerals from the Earth while being cost-effective in an environmentally friendly way. Whether it’s for short-term or long-term, planning and scheduling are not easy tasks and many engineers around the world spend days coming up with the perfect plan to be executed. In this podcast, we have the pleasure to host Mr. Aleksandar Ugljesic, a mining project engineer at ERCOSPLAN, based in Germany. Mr. Aleksandar is an experienced mining professional who will tell us more about the process of mine scheduling and design.

Daniela Jaimes has an undergraduate degree in Marketing and another one in Global Business Management from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa. With experience carrying out digital marketing strategies for companies in various industries. Currently, Daniela is the Marketing Manager at Promine.

Mohamed Zaki has an undergraduate degree in Mining Engineering CO-OP from McGill University. With an opportunity to do 3 research studies with excellent professors from McGill University and experience in open-pit mining, he developed an interest in analyzing data using powerful programs. Upon joining the Promine team, Mohamed worked as a Quality Assurance & Support Specialist, then obtained a position as a Sales Specialist. A few months later, he took the role of a Marketing manager to promote the professional image of Promine. Currently, Mohamed is the Director of Business Development of EMEA at Promine.

Guests

Mr. Ugljesic studied and lived in Serbia. He has a master's degree in Mining Engineering and has been working as a project engineer for the consulting company Ercosplan since March 2020. Since he started working for Ercosplan, he has been involved in several projects related to the underground exploitation of raw materials.
